Hasn't the Shire got enough 'space' already?

Apparently not! Recently a little piece of 'outer-space' was discovered in the East Pilbara... well almost. 

Arthur Hickman has discovered a rare meteorite impact crater in remote Western Australia using free online service Google Earth. Amazingly is the the crater is only 35kms North of Newman - any closer and we may not have had to of dug our swimming pool?!  

Of course the find has earned Mr Hickman both naming and bragging rights.

Nope! Its the Shire of east Pilbara's brand-new News and Events blog!
